decided

Ok so finally decided on doing a short animation about two children fighting over the last cookie in a western style duel. cant wait to get to work on this!

So far i have been looking at different ways i could portray this here are some of my favourites so far:

I like the traditional style of the lego piece, keeping it nice and simple with a prison in the background, i also like some of the shots used for example the extreme close ups of the eyes.

In this video i like how it puts a twist onto the traditional western idea by thinking a little outside the box and bringing in modern technologies into the animation through small easter eggs such as the darth vader mask or the modernised guns system.

ok so i realise i need to start posting about ideas :) i guess ill leave nothing out :) starting with planning !!

Idea 1: A kid given the power of a superhero, a short animation on how a child would use the powers.

Idea 2: Something taken from a fairytail or nursery rhyme, for example bo peep and her sheep. How did she loose them?!!

Idea 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ch3X5WrhwGM&feature=related i quite enjoy some of these quotes and it would be nice to take them out of context and put them into my own world.

Idea 4: designing some detailed turnarounds and modelling and texturing them.

Idea 5: colliding worlds, for example start off in 2d then through a portal for example and on to a 3d world.


still thinking :| i think ill defiantly be doing something along the creative line as opposed to the technical side :)

getting started

ok wow, so here is where ill be posting all my work on my final project at uni ! really excited and nervous now as i am completely stuck on what to do ! i have a few ideas so far :) fingers crossed the ball gets rolling :)
